The Petkeljärvi National Park, Petkeljärven kansallispuisto on the boarder with Russia, Finland

The Petkeljärvi National Park was formed about 10 000 years ago, at the end of the last Ice Age, when the territory emerged from the ice cap and melt-water. It is possible to rent a boat or a kayak at the Petkeljärvi Tourist Center.

There is a camping site organized right outside of the park, offering an equipped ground for trailers and tents. There is a 6.5 km walking trail and visitors of the park can pick berries and mushrooms. There is also an 80 km water route.
