Ranua Resort, located about an hour’s drive from Rovaniemi in Lapland, offers a range of services, including a wildlife park, accommodation in holiday villas and Arctic igloos, camping at Wildlife Park & Camping Lake Ranuanjärvi, the Wild Arctic Restaurant, a souvenir shop, safaris, and other activities.
Visitors to the zoo can observe over 50 wild animal species and 200 individual animals living in habitats designed to be as authentic as possible within captivity. In the summer, a domestic animal park is also open for visitors. The park features playgrounds, cafés, and shops, making it a family-friendly destination.
Some of the popular activities are finnhorse sleigh ride, northern lights safari, sleigh ride to the family farm, husky safari, snowmobile safari, guided tour in the wildlife park, guided fishing trip on a lake, snowmobile sleigh ride to Santa’s secret cabin. A number of activities are only available to overnight guests: it is best to check booking and cancellation terms in advance.
