The Ranua Zoo or the Ranua Arctic Wildlife Park is located in an hour drive from Rovaniemi (in Lapland) and is open for visitors all year round. The zoo visitors can observe more than 50 wild animal species and 200 individuals living in environments as authentic as possible in captivity. In the summer, the domestic animals park is also open for visitors. There are playgrounds, restaurants and shops located on the territory of the Zoo.
The Ranua Zoo Camping welcomes upto 40 vehicles and has spots for tents, there are public areas with services such as sauna and washing machines. Accommodation is also available in the Holiday Village Gulo Gulo. Between June 1st and September 30, the Wildlife Safaris Ranua is able to provide safari services to families upon request (reservation is required).
