The Repovesi National Park is located in a few hours drive from Helsinki. There are hours and hours of walking trails in the park (many suitable for children), many picnic areas, a hanging bridge (suspension bridge) and even a hand-pulled ferry in the park. Among the animals dwelling in the park are bears, dears, elks, different birds, owls and red divers. The Koukunyoki river flows through the park and the Olhavanvuori hill is popular among climbers. It is also possible to take a kayak for rent and go swimming in the lake.
