Syöte National Park was established in the year of 2000, and it covers a territory of 299 sq. km. The park is mostly made up of swamps, located high up above the sea level.

The park offers cross-country, biking and walking trails, there are also water routes. There are camping grounds available to the Syöte National Park visitors, most of them are equipped with campfire sites and bio-toilets.
