Tiilikkajärvi National Park in Rautavaara offers 27 kilometers of marked trails, including circular routes like Uiton kierto (7 km), Autionkierto (3.4 km), and Tiilikan kierto (18 km). The park is well-equipped with campfire sites, dry toilets, two camping areas, and summer rental huts.
Visitors can also enjoy canoeing on Lake Tiilikkajärvi, with fishing allowed by permit. One of the park’s highlights is Venäjänhiekka (Russian Sands) beach, named after the 1595 Treaty of Teusina, which divided the land between Sweden and Russia. An old border stone in Lake Tiilikkajärvi, engraved with a crown and cross, still marks this historic divide. A scenic sandy esker ridge cuts through the lake, adding to the park’s diverse landscapes.
