The Vapriikki Museum Center in Tampere is located in an old factory building at the Tammerkoski rapid in Tampere. The exhibition talks about the Civil War (Tampere 1918), the history of the city of Tampere, innovation and progress in the Tampere region.
There are also museums of minerals, Finnish hockey, shoes, post and toys with the "Time to Play" interactive zone. The museum regularly welcomes temporary exhibits, has a cafe and a souvenir shop. Kids under 7 can visit the museum for free and there are family tickets available. On Fridays from 15:00 to 18:00 entrance is free for all.
