The Finnish Forest - is an interactive play zone for children aged 2-8 years, organized by the Akademika Kindergarten and Education Center (from St. Petersburg, Russia), as part of the Kids-Friendly Finland 2017 festival, which will take place on May 27th from 10:00 to 17:00, at the Sirius sports complex. Participation in the festival is free for all.
Guests of the Akademika Play Zone will be invited to visit three areas and complete fun tasks:
1) The Finnish Forest diorama:
- catch a fish in a pond of helium balls,
- collect mushrooms and sort them (poisonous-edible);
- find all hidden dwarves;
- play with wooden or plastic animal figures;
2) Theatrical area:
- do theater plays with the forest characters (foxes and owls);
3) Scientific area:
- study the traces of animals;
- learn the age of a tree by the number of rings;
- examine insects with a microscope and compare them with pictures.
The festival is organized in the format of the quest: participants go from start to finish, competing fun tasks and gaining new knowledge at each of about 20 Play Zones. At the finish line, all children will receive a guaranteed prize - a bright silicon bracelet and a helium balloon. The festival is part of the Suomi Finland 100 program (celebrating the centenary of independence of Finland).
It is possible to join the game at any time during the day, visiting all of the game zones takes about 1.5 hours. Official languages of the festival are English, Finnish and Russian. Sirius Sport Center has a cafe, the Flowrider indoor surfing, a rope park, mini golf, a wind tunnel, and free parking.
