In 2017, the Helsinki Design Week takes place between September 7 and 17. It is the largest design festival in Northern Europe. It includes events for professionals, as well as for the wide audience: workshops, exhibitions, shows, seminars, and so on. Almost every day, there are events for children, some of them offer free admission.
Fro example, kids with parents will make their own special pizza. In the workshop run by artist Tikke Tuura and the Helinä Rautavaara Museum, a giant chandelier from scrap plastic and discarded toys will be built by children. The Habi Kids School program will include daily workshops for children of various ages.
The whole kids' program of the Helsinki Design Week 2017 can be found at the official website: http://register.helsinkidesignweek.com/
