Moomins at the Theatre - a temporary exhibition at the Theater Museum in Helsinki takes place from June 8, 2016 all the way through to Summer of 2017. The exhibition is about theatre performances of Moomins as well as Tove Jansson’s other theatre works. Unique material are presented here, for instance, from the very first Moomin theatre play. The costumes and stage settings were also designed by Tove Jansson.
The exhibition also features the original costume sketches and costumes by Tove Jansson from the Swedish Theatre drama, the Finnish National Opera, and the Helsinki City Theatre plays. The exhibition is carried out together with Moomin Characters Oy Ltd and Society of Swedish Literature in Finland.
