The Chillon Castle is located in 3 kilometers from Montreux, on the shore of the Lake Geneva, and overlooks the Alpine valley of the Rhone.
There is a historical museum at the castle; temporary exhibitions and various cultural events are also held here. Children can attend holiday workshops, the Drako Club, excursions, and it is possible to hold a birthday party at the castle.

Photos from a trip to the Chillon Castle, located on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Chillon Castle is 3 km from Montreux. The complex was intended to protect the trade routes along the eastern shore of Lake Geneva and was built in the 9th century; by the end of the 16th century the castle was converted into a prison, and the monk reformer Francois Bonivard was the most famous prisoner of the castle.
