The Astrup Fearnley Museum of Contemporary Art is located on the territory of the National Gallery. The museum was opened in 1993. Temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists from Europe and America are held here. The Astrup Fearnley private collection - the permanent part of the exposition - is dedicated to individual works in contemporary art.
