The relic of Catalonia - the image of the Virgin of Montserrat - is kept at the Montserrat Benedictine Abbey, which is located at the mountains not far from Barcelona. There is also a museum with monks' artworks on the territory of the abbey. Walking trails next to the abbey are the great destinations for family hiking.
The Montserrat complex is famous for its mountain views, there are several viewing platforms. Tourists travel from one level to another by mountain trains and cable cars.
