The ZSL (Zoological Society of London) Whipsnade Zoo was founded in 1931 and is a branch of the London Zoo. The Whipsnade park is located just 4 km to the south-east of Dunstable in Central England. The park has over 600 acres and is a home to nearly 3000 animals. The zoo offers the possibility to stay overnight at the Lookout Lodge. There is also a butterfly house, a big playground, a few cafes, an aquarium, a terrarium, a patting zoo and an indoor play park for kids. Various feeding and other shows are held at the park daily.
There is free parking available and internal roads and parking maybe used for a fee. Entry tickets can be purchased online. Please check the working hours at the official website of the zoo.
