The Great West Walk is a route stretching from Parramatta city to the Blue Mountains. The distance is 65 km. It id an urban walk that passes through streets, parks, bridges. The travellers meet a varied landscape of rivers and parklands, the Cumberland Plain Woodland and architectural memorials. 

Various types of accommodation are available along the way. It is possible to travel to the sites of the route by public transport.
