The Charamillon and Balme gondolas, as well as the Autannes chairlift start from the village of Le Tour and Vallorcine and take visitors over alpine pastures into a leisure area 2185 meters above sea level. The Balme ski area at the Col de Balme pass, is partially located in both France and Switzerland. There are hiking trails of various levels of difficulty in the area, which take tourists through pastures, forests and glacier setting.
There are also numerous mountain-biking trails in the area. In the summer, it is possible to have a meal at the Chalet de Charamillon, or the mountain chalet at Col de Balme pass.
There is free entry for children under 4, family tickets are available for sale. Please check prices and working hours at the official website.
