The Kutaisi Botanical Garden was founded in the mid-nineteenth century, and after the Tbilisi National Botanical Garden, it is the second oldest garden in the country. It is a big park with a variety of exotic plants and trees, fountains and ponds. The main attraction of the garden is a chapel in a century-old tree, which exists since 2014. Before, such chapels only existed in Greece and France.
In addition, the park has an amphitheater and a symbolic heart-shaped sculpture.
