The Miami Zoo, which had been known as Miami MetroZoo before, opened in 1948. It is the oldest zoo in Florida.
There are 4 theme zones at the zoo: Asia, Africa, Australia and Amazonia. All 4 zones are connected by a monorail.
Children can take part in interactive excursions and activities - brush a goat or a sheep, feed some animals with special food and ride a camel.
Entrance tickets are available on the official website.
