Excursions, festivals and other events are held at the park all the year round. There is a zoo, a Museum of the City of New York and a Jewish Museum on the territory of the park, as well as fountains, sculptures and 23 dog walking areas.
21 children playground are open at the park: all of them are theme-based, some have summer water attractions.
In summer visitors of the park can rent a boat, play baseball, softball, soccer, handball or basketball, ride a bike, play chess or checkers, rent radioguided ship models and organize a race.
In winter visitors can ski and ice-skate at the park, entertaining programmes for the whole family are also held during cold months.
