Huskypark, the Arctic Circle Husky Park and Husky Safari in Rovaniemi, near the official residence of Santa Claus, Finland

Huskypark is located right at the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi, near the official residence of Santa Claus in Lapland. The Huskypark is a home to about 90 husky dogs, and the number of dog residents increases up to 150 as the snow season comes about. In the summer the Huskypark is open for visitors and everyone can meet the purebred Siberian Huskies that live here, learn about the keeping of dogs, and even pet some of them. There is an entrance fee to the park during the summer season. When the weather is good and the temperature is below +15 degrees it is possible to take a 500 meter ride with a summer carriage pulled by huskies. In the winter, entrance to the park is free and it is possible to go on husky safari from 500 meters to 16 kilometers long. No reservation is needed for individual visitors, but groups are asked to book a visit in advance. 

The safari prices include the services of a guide, together with driving and safety instructions. Children under 15 can only ride in the guide's sledge during the safari. Children over 15 years old can drive their own husky team if the guide considers it possible. For small children only short husky safari trips are recommended. Summer carriage rides are not recommended for children under the age of 4.
