The Semaforo Railway Layout Museum (Kouvolan Pienoisrautatiemuseo) in Kouvola strives to collect, preserve, research and interpret the traditions and technologies of Model railways, and the History of Kouvola. Visitors can see how the trains run upside down, see a model of the Ice-speed train, discover the history of railway modeling, get to be a locomotive drivers, and see how restoration work is done.
The Onkapannu cafe is open at the museum. Children under 3 years get in free of charge. The museum is located near the Kouvola railway station in an old building, which used to be the city's school.
In hight season, the museum may stay open until 17:00.
