Christmas 2016 in Jyväskylä includes several festivities, including a fair in the old quarter Toyvola and the opening of the famous Christmas street. Schedule of events:
- November 25-27, from 10:00 to 21:00 - opening of the Christmas season in Jyväskylä: fair, fireworks and presence of Joulupukki (Santa Claus);
- November 26 - December 22, from 10:00 to 18:00 - Christmas market in the old quarter Toyvola - the festive atmosphere of the old XIX century manor with Christmas decorations, traditional songs and musical performances;
- December 16-23, from 10:00 to 17:00 - opening of the Christmas street with artisan souvenirs, gifts, and delicacies.
