October 8-22 of 2016, the Linnanmäki amusement park hosts the Lights Festival. On Saturday, October 22 at 21:50 there will also be fireworks. During the festival, guests will be able to try some glowing cotton candy and hot grog. The Jarrumies restaurant will play the 80's hits, the Funky Kitchen restaurant will have a DJ playing every day of the festival from 17:00 to 22:00. The neighbouring Sea Life Linnanmäki will host a disco party for kids. The summer theater stage will also have a daily entertainment program .

 

This year, the annual Linnanmäki Lights Festival is carried out in cooperation with Lux Helsinki:

- Team game (Joukkovoima in Finnish) - interactive group installation, near the Kirnu attraction. This art object is the work of Petri Tuhkanen (a lights artist);

- Flowers of Life - near the Hurjakuru attraction;

- Wall of Lights - near the Kingi attraction;

- Light Wash.

 

Entrance to Linnanmäki is free for all.

We visited the Carnival of Light in Linnanmäki in October 2017. The festival annually attracts large crowds of people, including many students, teenagers and children. Entrance to the park is always free, and there are even some free rides. Aside from rides, some classic favourites for kids available at the park are cotton candy on a glowing stick, popcorn and fireworks.
