Porvoo is always beautiful to visit, but it is especially charming in the spring, when the lilac is blooming. The hills and the ancient streets are overgrown by flowering plants and overtaken by the delicate scents of flowers.

There is a excellent selection of kids-friendly and dog-friendly cafes along the Porvoo river, as well as unique arts & crafts stores. With plenty of coffee, snacks, and icecream places along the way, walking up and down the cobbled streets and along the calm waters of the river can be a relaxing endeavor for kids and adults alike.
