The Borjomi-Bakuriani Narrow Gauge Railway was built at the turn of the XIX-XX century, and was meant to deliver tourists to the mineral springs of Bakuriani. The railway stopped working in 2021.

Its length of the railway is 38 km, it passes over mountainous landscape, so the journey takes about 2.5 hours. Travelers can enjoy some scenic mountain views on the way. NGR is used by tourists as well as by locals.
