Horniman Museum and Gardens was opened in 1901. Main collection of the museum are dedicated to anthropology and natural history. Musical instruments collection and ethnographic collection even have Designated status.
There is a Botanical Garden, an Aquarium and a small farm on the territory of the museum.
Every Saturday local farmers held a market at the Garden.
The Library of the museum contains books from the 16th century until nowadays. The admission is free.
