The Tower of London is a fortress located on the North bank of the River Thames and built by William the Conqueror. The fortress was used as a prison, a Royal treasury, a mint, an observatory and a zoo.
Nowadays visitors can explore the castle, as well as the armour and treasures collections exhibited in it. In winter there is an open ice rink at the castle.
