The Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus is a kids-friendly ski resort in Rovaniemi (Lapland). The resort has 5 ski lifts and 8 slopes, a snowboard park as well as some crosscountry skiing trails. The maximum drop is 140 meters. It is possible to rent downhill and crosscountry skies, boots, snowboards, other equipment as well as warm winter clothing. The resort has its own ski school for kids and adults, which offers private lessons for beginners as well as group lessons.
The kids Vernery Park has a special slope for kids with a kids ski lift and a winter merry-go-round for kids. There is an 800-meter-long snow tubing trail as well as a restaurant.
