The Archaeological Museum in Madrid together with The National Library are located in the Palace of Libraries and Museums.
Visitors of the museum can see artifacts from different cultures and epochs: Egyptian mummies, objects of Roman and Arabic arts and crafts, etc. The copy of The Altamira caves with rock paintings of the Paleolithic period is exhibited in the garden of the museum.
The museum offers various activities for families with children: tourists can use the interactive guidebooks and visit open workshops for kids and parents.
