The Queen Sofia Art Center is the main museum of modern and contemporary art in Madrid. In its permanent exhibition there are works by Picasso, Dali, Magritte, Miro, and many others. Some sculptures and installations are presented outdoors. Various temporary exhibitions are held regularly at the museum. The terrace offers a panoramic view at the capital.
On weekends family programs, creative and cognitive activities for children take place in the museum. Guests with babies can rent a stroller. The museum offers audio guides in different languages, including English. There is also a restaurant, cafes, souvenir shops, and bookshops. Branches of the museum are located in the Retiro Park: the Crystal Palace (Palacio de Cristal) and the Palacio de Velázquez. Entrance to them is free.
