Photo review of the Gallen-Kallela Museum and the Tarvaspaa cafe in Espoo, Finland (18)

The Gallen-Kallela Museum is shaped as a romantic castle with a tower overlooking the sea. The castle was built by the artist himself in 1911. The museum’s exhibitions present the art and life of Gallen-Kallela and his contemporaries, and present-day works of contemporary art. Gallen-Kallela is best knows for his Kalevala epos illustrations.
