These images of the Ice Park or JääPuisto Skating Rink in the center of Helsinki were taken in January 2018. The Ice Park operates longer hours during the winter school break. The rink has an equipment rental point, a tiny free storage, and a small cozy cafe, where kids and adults can have a hot beverage and a bun, warm up and get some rest.
Pictures of the Santalahti walking trail in Kotka, Finland
The Santalahti walking trails are accessible for most part of the year, when there is no snow. The trails are marked (mostly by white dots on trees), have some board walks and require a certain amount of effort to walk on. The trails offer a great opportunity to exercise and admire the scenery: the sea, the boulders, and different kinds of forests. Trails are fun for walking with kids and give them a lot to opportunity to climb on things.

The annual Spring Warm-up Tank Show in Parola celebrates the beginning of a new summer season. The event usually takes place on May 1, and is intended for the entire family (dogs are welcome too). The local auto clubs and tank guild participate in the show along with the Tank Museum staff. In addition to exhibits from the museum's collection, it is possible to see some classic cars and various engines, as well as climb on top of some of the tanks, and inside some of the armored personnel carriers.

The height of the tower is 168 meters, it is located on the territory of the Särkänniemi Amusement Park, and is the highest observation tower in Finland. Its glassed gallery viewing point is located at the height of 120 meters. The tower guests can enjoy a 360 degrees view of the city of Tampere from up top.

The museum is housed in the Tampere Police Graduate School and is dedicated to the history and current status in the Finnish police force. The museum has more than 9000 exhibits - uniforms, weapons, equipment, vehicles, photos and so on. The Children's Police Station interactive exhibition is a place where kids can try on police outfits, play-drive a police vehicle, and do other police work.

The Tampere Hall hosts various conventions, as well as music, opera, and ballet performances. In 2016-2017 the building went through reconstruction and gained the Moomin Museum as resident. The Tampere Hall's beautiful lobby has restaurants, a kids library, a Moomin gift shop, as well as the Making of Muumimuseo exhibition. The Moomin Museum is scheduled to opened in 2018.

The museum was founded in 1993 in a historical building of the Finlayson cotton plant. Werstas Työväenmuseo is dedicated to the national and regional history of the working life in Finland. The complex includes the fascinating Steam Engine Museum with a real gigantic steam engine in the heart of it, a permanent printing machine exhibition, and an exhibition devoted to the Textile Industry (only open until 2017). Werstas Työväenmuseo regularly holds workshops for children, as well other visiting temporary exhibitions for the entire family.

Photo-review of Ruka ski resort in Finland. One of the biggest modern Finnish ski resorts: 34 slopes, 21 lifts (including a few chair lifts), 201 m height difference. The slopes are of different steepness and length. Snow-park, FIS track, board-cross track, mogul and freestyle centre are open for the visitors. Next to the foot of the mountain you can find cafes, shops, playgrounds and barbecue areas.
