The Patvinsuo National Park was founded in 1982, it has 105 square km of territory. The park has a bird watching tower at the Teretinniemi peninsula, three nature trails with the combines length of 80 km. The park offers several water routes on the Suomunjarvi lake and the Suomujoki river, with equipped camping grounds along the way.
